The Start Of The Football Season - 13th August 2016

Today is the start of the football season and I am lucky enough to have been treated to a Coventry City Football season ticket and Junior Sky Blue Membership.

So today I went to watch Coventry City FC V Shrewsbury Town.

We had to collect  paper tickets before the start of the match, because there has been problems with the delivery of season tickets.

Here is my Junior Sky Blue membership certificate.

My club letter from Manager Tony Mowbray.

and here's my  club card.

Arriving at the Ricoh.

My programme.

All ready for the match.  Do you like my new shirt?

This is the view from my seat.

The players are all warming up.

My view of the stadium.

Reading my programme.

Here come the players.

I'm so excited!

15:00 kick off.

Lots of chances for Coventry in the first half.

Giving Sky Blue Sam a hug, at half time.

My seat for the season.

Shrewsbury Town played  a bit better in the second half and even hit the cross bar.

But even down to 10 men due to injury the final score was a nil -  nil draw.

Coventry Bees Speedway - 8th August 2016

Today I went to  speedway to watch Coventry Bees v Swindon Robins

Meeting Danny King the current British Champion before the meeting.

Sky sports are televising the match today.  Here is the TV studio where the commentators stand.

I watched them rehearse and get ready for the live TV programme.

It's all very basic, with lots and lots of wires.

Daddy is explaining what all the extra TV crew are doing behind the scenes.

The bikes are warming up ready for the start of the meeting.

Watching  the bikes and riders in the pits.

This is what I am watching in the pits.

Here's my whole view of the stadium.

I liked being able to watch the live race and then seeing the replay on their screens.

I agreed with most of their opinions.

Coventry had an excellent night and won 56- 34.  To claim all 3 league points.

Finishing the Sky Sports 1 Live programme.

Congratulating all the Coventry riders.  Jason Garrity.

Kacper Woryna.

Josh Bates, the top scorer of this meeting.

With the Coventry Bee's Manager and 1992 World Champion Gary Havelock

This picture is taken from my TV at home watching a recording of the meeting the next day.  Can you see me in the back ground?

The rest of this week I have been at Play scheme.

Here is my certificate that was presented at the end of the week.

.  I've had the best time doing all sorts of things.  My favourites included an animal experience, being able to hold a meerkat and snakes.

Sky Ride Coventry - 7th August 2016

Today I took part in Sky Ride Coventry.  Which is an event to encourage everybody to enjoy cycling.  The roads are closed off to traffic, so everybody can cycle around safely.

Over 9000 people took part.

Here is a map of the route.  It is 7km long and I rode it twice!

Do you like my racing bib?

Off we go.

There were lots of different surfaces to ride over including cobblestones.

Under bridges.

My favourite part riding on the ring road!

Riding through the tunnel on the ring road was so good and fast!

When we arrived at Fargo village we had to dismount and push our bikes.  There was lots of music, food and entertainment to enjoy.

Then back on your bikes and off we go again.

This bit was fun too, riding through the University!

Here's I am with my well earned medal.

'You're one in a million'

Time to load the bikes back in the car and have a rest.

Here's a map of my ride completed twice, just under 9 miles ridden!
