About Me!

Hi Everyone,

For those of you who don't know me, I have a very special superpower. I am autistic, but this doesn't stop me having fun as you can see.

This is a blog to remind me of all my fun adventures.

I hope you enjoy looking at it.

End Of Month Catch Up - April 2017

April has been a very busy month for me.

Here are some of my adventures:

Orienteering.

Practising some orienteering skills, ready for competitions.

A lovely sunny day at Kingbury Water Park orienteering.

 Rugby.

My Wasps Playing Advantage Rugby training group.

I was kindly given this Wasps rugby ball for Easter by the club.

Being filmed for the official Wasps channel and players end of season presentation.

Watching Wasps v Worcester Warriors. Of course Wasps won 40-33.

I have supported a lot of  special charity days at school.

Autism Awareness Day.

Odd socks for World Down Syndrome Day.

Wearing red for Comic Relief.

Race for Life/Cancer Research UK.

My Tiger Feet Dance group performed at Bedworth Civic Hall as part of the Embody dance show.

My friends Emily, Daniel and me.

An official shot of me on stage.

My whole group finishing our dance.

We danced to Robbie Williams 'I love my life', I will post the video when it is finished.

Of course I have been to lots of Coventry City FC matches.

The best thing is we haven't lost any home matches this month.  The bad news is we have been relegated to League 2 :-(

It was so sunny today I had to use my scarf to keep the sun out of my eyes!

Another win!

Charlton match a 1-1 draw, and relegation confirmed.

This is Jimmy Hill the new guide dog paid for by money raised by the Coventry City Former Players Association.

Walsall last home game of the season. Another win 1-0.

A special Under 23 CCFC match I attend v Charlton - who won 0-1.

My new jigsaw puzzled completed.

 Kids Run Free.

On a very wet and cold day!  I was awarded my first  bronze t-shirt.

A Pb for this month of 6.1 km completed.

Working out!

I was invited to the Mayors Parlour and Chamber after winning my Disability Sports Personality of the year award last month.

In the Mayor's Parlour at the town hall trying out her seat.

Then she let me try her hat.

The Consort (Mayor's husband) gave me the traditional mace to hold.  A mace is carried before the Mayor to represent the persons authority.

It is very heavy, being made of solid silver!

The Mayor's Parlour has lots of silver, gold and historical artefacts that belong to the Borough.

Here is a group photo of some of the Sports Forum winners.

Can you see all the trophies in the background.

The Mayor has a secret supply of sweets in her desk.

The Mayor told us lots of stories and about all the events she has to attend.

Next into the Town Hall Chamber.  The Mayor let me sit in her chair again.

The Mayor's assistant told us about where all the different elected councillors sit and what happens during a council meeting.

Wembley bear addresses his council!

Look at all the souvenirs the Mayor gave me to remember my visit.

The certificate of my visit.

My Easter Bonnet.

On other entries in my blog I have talked about the Easter bonnet I made for school.  Well here are some pictures.

My Coventry City Football Club Checkatrade trophy winning hat.

Here is the back.  Every chick has a shirt stuck to his back with the players name and number.  The players being the starting eleven from the Wembley final.

Ready for school with Wembley bear.

Lots of people waved at me and said they liked my hat on the way to school.

A little bit of luck.

Mummy and Daddy allowed me to pick a horse on the famous Grand National race.  I had 50p on the winning horse.  I was very happy to win.

Interviewed for BBC Midlands Today.

When I was walking through Coventry City centre on my way to an ice hockey match, a man from BBC Midlands Today recognised I was a CCFC supporter from my jacket and asked me how I felt being relegated to League 2.

An Ice Hockey Match.

GB v Poland a friendly match in preparation for the upcoming World Championships.

The teams are ready.  The stadium is full.

Do you like my new scarf?

An exciting game that went down to extra time and a sudden death penalty shoot out, after Poland equalised in the last second of the game.  GB winning 5-4.

The atmosphere was great!

What an exciting game.

The two teams thanking each other and being good sports.

GB team photo.

Easter Egg Hunt.

On Easter Sunday I completed an Easter egg hunt around Bosworth Battlefield.

You had to look around for hidden shields and flags, that had an animal and a different letter on.  Unscramble the letters and work out the word linked to Easter.  It was hot cross bun.  I received a lovely Easter pack gift as my reward.

Help, I seem to have got myself in to trouble!

They want to know what side I am on!

Wasps Netball.

Today I went along to my first netball game.

Do you like my Wasp?

Trying out a few shoots in the fan zone before the match.

Second attempt I scored a goal.

My selfie!

Here's Sting the Wasps mascot.

Everybody was given a flag to wave and keep.

The court looks amazing.

Wasps v Sirens (from Glasgow).

From the top of the stands looking at the fan village.

Wasps win 65-41.
Time to meet some of the players.

Natalie Haythornthwaite.

Sam May.

Bongiwe Msomi.

Francesca Williams.

I really enjoyed my first netball match and can't wait to go again.
