My Florida Holiday 24th May- 8th June 2017 Part 6 - Disney's Animal Kingdom.

My Adventures in Disney's Animal Kingdom, and my experiences of the new land Pandora The World Of Avatar.

The Animal Kingdom is a place to explore and learn about the world around us, and try and do our bit for conservation to save our planet.

Welcome to Disney's Animal Kingdom.

The famous Tree of Life.  The iconic centrepiece of the park.

Can you see all the animals and birds carved into the trunk of the tree?

  Pandora The World Of Avatar.

Inspired by the film Avatar.  Officially opened on the 27th May 2017.

A world featuring floating mountains, flying banshees, and bioluminescent Wonder (the production and emission of light by a living animals or plants).

The Valley of Mo'ara and its floating mountains.

This land took six years to build and cost approx half a billion US dollars.

The story to the land is set a generation after the warring conflict between the local Na'vi and the Resources Development Administration (RDA) that tried to exploit Pandora for its unobtanium, in the story line in the film.  The backstory is that the Na'vi and humans have achieved peace and the Alpha Centauri Expeditions (ACE) - a made up tourism company help the Na'vi to show and promote Pandora as a place for ecotourism and scientific research.  Therefore preserving the native Pandoran species.

You can interact with the plants and there are drums and other amazing things to be discovered everywhere.

The landscaping consists of real Earth plant species mixed with sculpted Pandora plants and flowers.

Are these plants man made or real?

I love bridges.

I hope that mountain doesn't fall on my head!

Hurry up and take the picture please, it's very very hot!

Here's our family poses!

Look a Banshee!

The amazing bioluminesce wonder of Pandora is created through a combination of colour lighting, Fibre optics, and black light effects.

Each alien plant has it's own hidden control box to create the necessary amount of illumination in bioluminesce after dark.

Na'vi River Journey Ride.

On this gentle mysterious river boat ride it hard to tell what's real and whats not. You get to feel a sense of wonder of the full beauty of Pandora.  It offers explorers an expedition through caves, you pass exotic glowing plants and amazing creatures of the rain forest.  Then you meet the Na’vi Shaman of Songs, who demonstrates her deep connection to the force of Pandora and sends positive energy out into the forest through the power of music.

Time to head to another area of the park.

Let's head to Africa.

Welcome to Harambe.  They sell Mickey Mouse shaped ice creams here!

Look Simba decided to join us.

Kilimamjaro Safari's, t
ime to take a Safari ride through the African savanna.

Of course everything we see is real in this land.

Hippo's.

What can we see now?

Maybe some Okapi!

Elephants.

He's so little he can hardly stand up!

I wish I could cool off in the water.

Rhinoceros.

Time for lunch in Dinoland, U.SA.

After dark the Animal Kingdom celebrates the beauty of all living things with the Rivers of Light show.

Lights, water fountains, dance, music and shadow puppetry entertained us with a story of peace and nature

This park is open until 1 o'clock in the morning to people staying on Walt Disney property.  To help celebrate the opening of Pandora World.  So we got to go on lots of rides with no wait time.  Here's me on TriceraTop Spin.
