British Speedway GP And Wales Trip - 21st - 22nd July 2018

On the first day of the School Summer Holidays we travelled down to Cardiff in Wales to watch the British Speedway GP.

A special lunch of my favourite food in Shake Shack Cardiff.

Then off to the Speedway Fan zone to have some fun.

The Monster Energy Speedway of Nations 2nd place silver trophy and medal won by  Great Britain, Russia won the event this year.

@speedwaygp.

One of the speedway bikes.

A monster Energy truck.

Outside Cardiff Castle.

Time to start heading into the Principality Stadium.

Over 40,000 fans will be here tonight.

Here's my seat and view.

The pre event has finished and it's nearly time for the racing.

The riders are all introduced.

Now it's time to go racing.

The first heat.

The roof is closed and the atmosphere is great!

There has been some great races.

The winner has been decided.

Polish rider Bartosz Zmarzlik winning in first place, second place to GB star Tai Woffinden and third place to Polands Maciej Janowski.

Tai Woffinden leads the World Championship standings by 20 points.

Time for some fireworks.

What a great event.
We spent the night at The Hampton Inn, Newport.

Here's our room.

Breakfast time.

Look how close we stayed to the Budweiser beer brewery.

Time to tick off some more of my stadiums.

Cardiff City FC.

Quite a plain entrance door for the players.

I can just about see the pitch through here.

Arriving in Swansea.

The home of Swansea City AFC.

Also Ospreys Rugby team.

A walk around the harbor.

What a view.

The tide is definitely out.

I wrote Coventry City.

This deeper sand is harder to walk in.

The first Denny's American Diner in the UK.

It's just like being in the USA.

The menu is the same too.

Tastes the same too.

I cannot wait for them to open all over the UK.

With my Denny's balloon.

Back home to England.
